Executive / Senior Executive - Project
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Coordination:
- Scope Definition Support: Assist the Project Manager in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with user departments (Production, R&D, Maintenance).
- Schedule Development: Contribute to the development and tracking of project schedules, identifying critical paths and potential delays.
- Resource Allocation Support: Assist in planning and coordinating resources, including manpower (internal and contractors), materials, and equipment.
- Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, and vendor documents.
- Budget Tracking Support: Help in monitoring project expenditures against the approved budget and flagging variances.
2. Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Site Supervision: Oversee and supervise day-to-day project activities on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate with various contractors (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) for seamless execution of project activities. Monitor their progress and quality of work.
- Material Management: Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of project materials and equipment. Ensure proper storage and issuance of materials at the site.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and help resolve on-site execution issues, technical challenges, and interface problems between different disciplines.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare regular project progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and deviations to the Project Manager.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on executed work and materials to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
3. Technical Coordination:
- Drawing Review: Review and provide comments on engineering drawings (P&IDs, GA layouts, detailed engineering drawings) and specifications from consultants or internal teams.
- Technical Specification: Assist in preparing technical specifications for equipment and services.
- Vendor Coordination: Interact with vendors for technical clarifications, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT) of equipment.
- Inter-Departmental Liaison: Coordinate effectively with operations, maintenance, safety, and other departments to ensure smooth project integration and minimal disruption to ongoing plant activities.
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Safety Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and statutory regulations (e.g., Factories Act, PESO, OISD guidelines) during project execution.
- Permit to Work (PTW): Ensure proper implementation of the Permit to Work system for all project-related activities.
- Hazard Identification: Proactively identify potential hazards on the project site and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure all project personnel are aware of emergency procedures.
5. Project Closure & Handover:
- Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Support: Assist during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Punch List Management: Prepare and track punch lists for rectification and closure.
- Documentation Handover: Support the handover of completed projects, including as-built drawings, operational manuals, and maintenance procedures, to the operations and maintenance teams.
