Job Description:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for plant-based positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective job descriptions.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture and plant operations.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Proactively address employee grievances and support conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance morale.
- Support initiatives related to workplace safety and health (EHS) in collaboration with relevant departments.
- HR Administration and Operations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and in the HRIS.
- Manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, letters, and policy updates.
- Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Prepare HR-related reports and analytics as required.
- Performance Management and Development:
- Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely completion and constructive feedback.
- Assist in identifying training needs for plant employees and coordinate training programs.
- Support career development initiatives within the plant.
- Compliance and Industrial Relations (IR):
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, factory acts, and statutory requirements relevant to a chemical plant.
- Assist in maintaining harmonious industrial relations and liaising with worker representatives or unions where applicable.
- Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and HR best practices.
- Support in handling disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Policy Implementation and Communication:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand and adhere to company policies.
